There is nothing quite like the experience of a round-the-world trip. For those who have never embarked on one, it’s hard to describe the feeling of anticipation and excitement that comes with planning such an adventure. But for those who have, they know just how life-changing and rewarding a RTW trip can be.

I remember my first time planning a RTW trip—I was so excited! I pored over travel blogs and websites, reading about all the different places I could visit. It was daunting trying to figure out how to fit everything in, but it was also exhilarating imagining all the amazing experiences I would have. And eventually, after months of planning, my dream trip came together.

It wasn’t easy packing for a RTW trip—you need to pack light yet be prepared for anything. But after weeks of agonizing over what to bring and what not to bring, I finally had everything ready and boarded my flight overseas.

The best thing about a RTW trip is that every day is an adventure; you never know what you’re going to see or do next. From exploring ancient ruins in Greece one day to hiking through rain forests in Thailand the next, there’s always something new waiting around the corner. Every country has its own unique culture and history which makes visiting them all even more interesting (not mention Instagrammable).

But as amazing as it is traveling from place-to-place on your own schedule, there’s something special about being part of a group tour too (especially if your group becomes like family). There’s something comforting about having someone else plan your daily itinerary for you (and dealing with any unexpected surprises along the way!). Plus it gives you plenty of opportunities for socializing with people from all over the world—something that can be difficult when traveling solo .

Traveling around the world definitely isn’t cheap (unless you’re lucky enough to win The Trip), but in my opinion it’s worth every penny! Seeing new places and experiencing different cultures is something that can’t be replicated anywhere else . So if you’ve ever been thinking about taking a RTW trip yourself , go ahead—you won’t regret it!

-Research your destination before you go.
-Make a list of things you want to see and do, and try to stick to it.
-Pack light – you’ll be glad you did.
-Be prepared for anything – weather, culture shock, etc.

But before you set off on your round-the-world trip, it’s important to make sure you’re taking all the necessary precautions for safety.

Here are a few tips for staying safe while traveling:
1) Make copies of your important documents (passport, driver’s license, etc.), and keep them in a separate location from where you carry your originals.
2) Always be aware of your surroundings, and avoid walking around alone at night.
3) If possible, try to book hotels that have security guards or locked doors/windows.
4) Learn some basic phrases in the local language so that you can ask for help if needed.
5) Pack light – this will make it easier to move around quickly if needed.
6) Drink only bottled water (or water that has been boiled), and avoid eating food from street vendors.

There are endless possibilities for round the world trips, but here are a few of my favorite destinations.

Starting in Europe, I would recommend spending time in Paris, Amsterdam and Rome. These cities offer a wealth of history and culture that is unmatched anywhere else in the world. Plus, they’re all located in close proximity to one another, making it easy to hop between them.

If Asia is more your style, then I suggest exploring China, Thailand and Japan. Each country has its own unique customs and attractions that will leave you amazed. Be sure to visit the Great Wall of China, go on an elephant safari through Thailand’s jungle national parks and take a trip to Mount Fuji in Japan.

Finally, if you’re looking for an adventure Down Under check out Australia’s Sydney Harbour Bridge climb followed by some snorkeling at The Great Barrier Reef or wine tasting at vineyards throughout Victoria state. Then cap off your trip with some relaxation on Bondi Beach – there’s no better way to end an amazing journey around the world!

You’ll also need to decide what mode of transportation you’ll be using – plane, train or automobile (or some combination thereof). And lastly, don’t forget To make sure passport & visa requirements are met!
